TIME WARNER CABLE SIGNS ON AS PRESENTING SPONSOR OF THE DURAMED CHAMPIONSHIP08 Jun
MASON, OH (June 8, 2009) – Time Warner Cable has signed on to be the presenting sponsor of the Duramed Championship. The newly titled Duramed Championship presented by Time Warner Cable is a stop on the Duramed FUTURES Tour that will be held June 19-21, 2009, at the Golf Center at Kings Island, Mason.
“The Duramed Championship is excited to have Time Warner Cable return as a partner for 2009 and become our presenting sponsor,” said Abby Pearson, tournament director. “Their involvement and the exposure they can provide for the tournament will add to its success.”

The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is the official charity of the Duramed Championship presented by Time Warner Cable. The Ohio Valley Chapter provides a wealth of programs, fundraisers, activities and services for 27 counties in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky for people who have multiple sclerosis, their families and friends.
The Third Annual Duramed Championship presented by Time Warner Cable will be played June 19-21 at the Golf Center at Kings Island, with 144 professional women golfers vying for a $125,000 purse. Tickets are available at www.duramedchampionship.com.
The Duramed Championship is one event on the Duramed FUTURES Tour. Now in its 28th season, the Duramed FUTURES Tour has established itself as “the Road to the LPGA and Beyond,” and since 1999, it has been designated as the official developmental tour of the LPGA. More than 300 Duramed FUTURES Tour alumnae are LPGA members, and through 2007, alums have won a total of 330 LPGA victories and 35 major championships. Last year, tour alums won 15 of 32 LPGA tournaments and two of the four major championships.
