Event and Charity Info
2010 marks the fourth year that the Teva Championship is held in our area and the third year that the event will be held in Mason, OH at the Golf Center at Kings Island. The Grizzly Course, the home of the LPGA Championship for 12 years, has proven to be an exciting venue for the ladies of the Duramed FUTURES Tour.
The Teva Championship is one event on the Duramed FUTURES Tour. Now in its 29th season, the Duramed FUTURES Tour has established itself as “the Road to the LPGA and Beyond,” and since 1999, it has been designated as the official developmental tour of the LPGA. More than 300 Duramed FUTURES Tour alumnae are LPGA members, and through 2007, alums have won a total of 330 LPGA victories and 35 major championships. Last year, tour alums won 15 of 32 LPGA tournaments and two of the four major championships.
The Duramed FUTURES Tour annually awards automatic status to the top ten players on the Tour’s official money list.
The charitable partner of the Teva Championship is National Multiple Sclerosis, Ohio Valley Chapter. Our activities are made possible through private grants, sponsorships, and fund-raising campaigns.

Hi,
I’d volunteer if you need anyone. I can work on the weekend and perhaps Fri. I’m 63 and been playing golf since I was 12. As a kid I was a caddy at Camargo. I’m in good shape but being a caddy probably isn’t a good idea since I don’t know the course.
Also what is the criteria for the AM part of the Pro-Am?
Thanks,
Michael (Mick) Buschbacher
Michael,
We’ll get you entered into our Volunteer database and Mary Wright, our Volunteer Coordinator or one of her committee chairs will be back in touch with you. I agree with your comments about caddying - but we have plenty of other things you can do to help out!
If you are concerned about your golf ability related to the Pro-Am, I would say that if you play at all you will be fine. The event is a straight scramble and you are playing with a Pro, so the real fun of the event in the time spent with the Pro and your playing companions.
If you have a specific question, drop me an email at duramedchampionship@gamedaypr.com
Thanks
Tom
