Beacon Orthopaedics to Return

Beacon Orthopaedics will be returning to the 2010 Teva Championship - once again providing athletic training services for the players.  New this year is the presence of John Walker.

John C. Walker MPT, CSCS, CES, CGFI

John Walker is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (CGFI), as well as a Physical Therapist who specializes in working with athletes. He works with athletes of all ages, adolescent to senior, as well as professional. John has dedicated his life to rehabilitating athletes, while also preventing injuries and improving their performance.

John is currently one of three overhead athlete specialists with Beacon Orthopaedics. Dr. Tim Kremchek, Cincinnati Reds Medical Director, has utilized his services as a physical therapist with the Cincinnati Reds for the past 5 years. Walker is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Sports Physical Therapy Section(SPTS). He also serves as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is an active member of the SPTS-SIG for professional and collegiate physical therapists.

Being a CGFI, John is qualified to aid golfers in pre-participation screening, treatments, rehabilitation, and prevention of injuries. He specializes in correcting limitations in mobility and stability to aid each player in achieving an efficient powerful golf swing.
